ISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS AWESOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Two weekends ago my friends Andrew, Jules, and I went to the Lane Motor Museum here in Nashville. This is the home of one of the most unique car collections in the world. Mr. Lane collects everything from classic European cars to some very rare oddities. This was a special weekend where they were going to take the mighty LARC out for a drive (more on that later) and they were doing special basement tours where they keep the cars not in the normal collection that are being restored or just do not have room for. This trip was also the chance for me to try out the 8 megapixel camera on my shiny new Droid X phone. It’s no DSLR, but I was impressed by the picture and video quality. All the pictures are here and below are some favorites to check out! If you are ever in Nashville, you have to go.
In case you are wondering what a LARC is, it stands for “Lighter, Amphibious Resupply, Cargo” which is a military vehicle used to haul cargo. At Lane it is used to crush old cars.
It took them a couple of tries to get over the engine block, but this is the aftermath:

My favorites from the collection upstairs:

And some gems sitting quietly in the basement:
HAMPSHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Team Rowdy make an appearance at Formula D NJ, making sure to lurk around the surrounding areas of Philadelphia and New York City.

After working on Rhoads’ Corolla (and a 12 pack), we decided it would be a good idea to head to the Dragon for the afternoon, maybe catch some Miata’s taking some runs. Rhoads rode shotgun and took some good pics along the way. I put them in a gallery so it doesn’t take up a ton of room, just click for the full picture.
